I’m Kim, Co-Founder of Market Mafia. My family and I have called Clearwater home for the past 8 years now and have fallen in love with the Tampa Bay area. The beach has long been my happy place, so the relocation made my beach bum dreams a reality.

From 9 to 5, Monday thru Friday, I’m an executive assistant and commercial real estate property manager for a private company. WAY different from the scene of local makers markets, and yet I somehow fit into both of my worlds just perfectly.

You can read more of my backstory and how I became a lover of all things local in an old blog post, love where you live.

Although my kiddo has four legs (and is way too mischievous for market-going), I thoroughly enjoy seeing all the pet-friendly activities at the market! I’ve always been a pretty big animal lover at heart, so I delight in interacting with other people’s fur-kids while shopping small. I’ve seen lots of different kinds of pets on parade while hitting markets including rabbits, iguanas, parrots, skunks, snakes and of course your standard pup.

One of my favorite markets to visit is Safety Harbor’s Market on Main. It’s pretty close to where I live so I tend to swing by on Sundays and pick up produce.

Like Tara, many of home furnishings have come from Brocante Vintage Market over the years, and I adore visiting St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market to pick up fresh flowers from Little Pond Farm. My most favorite way to share my life experiences is through photos, so feel free to stalk my Instagram if you’d like to keep up with my daily happenings.
